Alumni Relations serves to strengthen the link between Purdue University and its engineering alumni. Alumni Relations is responsible for working with the administration and engineering alumni to develop programs and activities that will benefit students, alumni, and Purdue University.

PSEF Reunion:

The Alumni Relations Team welcomes back alumni that return to campus during major recruiting periods, such as the Intern Expo in February and Industrial Roundtable in September. A dinner, along with a short presentation, is held at a local restaurant. The primary focus is on the social and networking aspects of the evening in which we create opportunities for PSEF alumni to meet and get to know the current executive board, directors, and general members of PSEF. The Alumni Relations Team is responsible for all of the logistics and oversight with regards to planning the event.

PAC:

The Alumni Relations Team maintains communication with PSEF's Professional Advisory Council (PAC). The PAC is responsible for providing a general historical perspective on all matters PSEF-related, maintaining team mentor-mentee relationships, promoting alumni events such as the PSEF reunion within the alumni community, and also providing financial support to the organization.

Alumni Speakers Program:

Alumni are asked to come back to PSEF General Meetings and give a short 15-20 minute presentation on a specific topic of their choice, as well as a longer session and Q & A period for those members who are interested in hearing more after the conclusion of the General Meeting. These topics could include, but are certainly not limited to, things such as interviewing skills, how to decide between multiple job offers (big company vs. small company, location, travel requirements), and the general life-after-college experience. The Alumni Relations Team is especially looking for alumni who have had unique experiences after graduation such as working abroad, going to graduate school, or getting into another field outside of engineering such as law, business, and other areas.
