Engineering Tours and Panels
PSEF is the main campus provider of student-led engineering facility tours and panels. Through events such as Preview Purdue, Introducing Purdue, and Purdue's For Me, we supply year-round informations to prospective students. Engineering Information Sessions (EIS) and facilites tours are offered every day. PSEF members also attend annual recruitment events in the Chicago area.
Open Office Hours
The PSEF office is open weekdays from 8:30 a.m to 4:30 p.m. We encourage visiting students to stop by and talk one-on-one with a PSEF member about life at Purdue.
Ask a Student a Question
Ask us a question about any aspect of Purdue! Please see the heading on the right under "Quick Links".
Shadow Program
Prospective students wishing to attend a college class may do so through our Shadow Program. PSEF members and other engineering students are available to meet with high school students and escort them to typical engineering classes.
Purdue NEXT
Purdue NEXT is a day-long recruitment even held each spring for admitted high school seniors. It is a joint operation between PSEF and the Department of Engineering Recruitment. These students and parents learn about our first-year program, tour campus, and talk with Purdue students. Through an academic fair, these high schoolers are introduced to the respective professional schools and career options in engineering. Over a hundred students from many different states attend NEXT each year.
Promote Engineering at Purdue (PEP)
Formerly known as LEO, Promote Engineering at Purdue (PEP) is an engineering education tool design for high school students with an interest in science and math. Any Purdue student may check out a comprehensive engineering DVD and supplement, then give a presentation at his or her former school. This is a great way to introduce the field of engineering in a personal setting. DVDs are also available to borrow for general engineering purposes.
